EPA Miss Shallcross 07.07.20

Hello and welcome to your learning for today! Remember, we are still missing all of you. Well done for keeping your learning going, and Ms Riley will speak to you on the phone soon to see how you are getting on.

Today, we have some reading, Science, maths, PE and a story post. Remember to use your gem powers!

This week our DERIC’s will all be Geography and they will help us to learn about some important areas in England. Scroll to the bottom to see the answers.

Science in my kitchen

Today in Science we are going to conduct an experiment to learn more about colour and why certain fruits are the colours they are. Watch my videos with Professor Shallcross (a real scientist) to help show us more.

Today in maths we are exploring an exciting maths investigation. It is called ‘Gob-Stopper’. Watch my video below to see. You can find the answers at the bottom of the page.

In school, we are doing PE every day. Have a go at this KiszBop and enjoy a few minute of being active at home. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did.

We are continuing with stories about sending letters or postcards. Dear Greenpeace by Simon James. What happens when Emily finds a whale in her pond? What will Greenpeace tell her to do?

  • 2. This place is called Stonehenge.
  • 3. The Stonehenge can be found in Wiltshire, England.
  • 4. The famous celebration which happens every year is the summer solstice.
  • 5. I would like to visit Stonehenge because I want to see how big the stones are.

If you want to send in any of the hard work that you are doing at home, you can take a picture and email them into school at:
